KEEP HSV BEAUTIFUL TEAM MEMBERS INFORMATION
Keep HSV Beautiful 2025 Event Dates:

April 5 and 6 (VILLAGE WIDE)
June 7 and 8 (VILLAGE WIDE)
August 16 and 17 (KIC Teams only)
October 25 and 26 (VILLAGE WIDE)
KIC stands for “Keep it Clean”. Five major roads - All of DeSoto, Ponce (from DeSoto at ReMax to Hwy 5), and Balearic (from Ponce to Murillo Way). Teams participating are Boomer’s Rock, Evening Lions, Pickup Crew, Balboa Yacht Club, Village Church of Christ, and two Litter Grabber teams.
Litter Grabbers: Organized cleanup events aren’t for everyone. Whether it’s picking up neighborhood litter while walking your dog, or bringing along a trash bag on your next hike, every person can help play a part in reducing and preventing litter. Some of our litter grabbers serve as subs when a team doesn’t have enough volunteers for a cleanup. Many have been placed with a team permanently.
On the day of clean up: Cleanup events are all held on Saturdays. If there is a probable chance of rain or a reason the team (or a member) needs to clean on another day, please try to schedule a day during the week prior to the Saturday event and notify the Cleanup Project Coordinator (contact information below).
It is suggested that volunteers walk facing traffic and an early start time is best to avoid heavy traffic. Most teams are on the road no later than 8am. Have your team leader’s phone number in your contacts in case you need help. After your assigned section is cleaned, please report your results:
1) Number of filled bags and partially filled bags.
2) Number of hours spent picking up litter (not including travel time).
3) Report any heavy items left behind and their location (tires, construction material, etc.)
4) Any downed or damaged signs and their location.
THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING!
