We're so glad you're here. Every bag of litter you pick up makes Hot Springs Village a cleaner, more beautiful place for all of us — thank you for being part of that!
KIC stands for Keep It Clean — our ongoing effort to maintain five major Village roads:
All of DeSoto Blvd
Ponce (from DeSoto at ReMax to Hwy 5)
Balearic (from Ponce to Murillo Way)
Current KIC teams: Boomer's Rock · Evening Lions · Pickup Crew · Balboa Yacht Club · Village Church of Christ · and two Litter Grabber teams
That's what our Litter Grabbers are all about. Toss a bag in your pocket on your next walk or hike and pick up as you go — it all counts! Many Litter Grabbers also sub in when a team is short on volunteers, and quite a few have joined a team full-time. There's a place for everyone here.
Events are held Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
Start early — most volunteers are on the road by 8am to avoid traffic
Walk facing traffic for your safety
Save your team leader's phone number in your contacts before you head out
If weather or a conflict comes up, check with your leader about rescheduling to another day earlier that same week
Report these four things to your team leader:
🛍️ Number of filled (and partially filled) bags
⏱️ Hours spent picking up litter (travel time doesn't count)
🚫 Any heavy items left behind (tires, construction debris) and their location
⚠️ Any downed or damaged signs and their location
